What stays on this device, and what an account stores.
Reading
Reading is open without an account. Creating an account accepts the use policy and acknowledges that you have read and understood it. The policy text stays on Use Policy.
On This Device
Progress, notes, cases, groups, plans, and the theme stay in this browser. The export file on Profile holds a copy. Clearing site data in the browser removes the device copy. What an account stores is under Account.
Account
Sign in with Google, X, or a ShadowPoint email account. An email account stores a password hash, not the password. The account stores cases, groups, plans, rank, points, and the Today plan and streak. The account also stores your name, email, and which provider you used. A session cookie keeps you signed in, and signed-in sessions end after 15 minutes of inactivity. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics.
Sign out on Profile ends the session. Reset progress starts the account at zero. It clears points, rank, lessons, question history, notes, streaks, achievements, and the cases, groups, and plans on the account, including the copy in this browser. The sign-in and member number stay. Delete Account is different. It holds the account for 30 days, then erases the sign-in. During the hold, signing in opens a page where you can reactivate the account. Signing out leaves the hold in place. After erasure the cases, points, and community memberships are gone. A permanent record keeps the member number and the dates the account was created and the policy accepted. Deleting the account does not clear progress on a device.
Visit Counts
A visitor ID is stored in this browser and sent when the site loads, to count visits. The visit record stores that id, when it was first seen, when it was last seen, and how many times the site loaded. It does not record which page, which question, or who you are. The record is kept. It is not deleted on a schedule.
Grok
Ask stays on this device unless you are signed in and you press Ask Grok, Search, or Fill empty stages. That sends the text in front of you to the Grok API and shows the reply on the page. A scam sample is answered here first. A crisis-shaped question can still be sent when you press Ask Grok, and that reply names official resources. A request to locate or profile a person is not sent.
Running a lens sends the question you type, with the lens you picked, to this site and then to Grok. You do not need an account. You see the answer, not the method. Do not include personal data. Speak turns your voice into text in this browser. The words are sent only if you then press a button that asks Grok.
Each page loads a platform script from https://grok.com/grok-app-builder/extensions.js. That script then requests https://app-builder-deployer.grok.com.
