Wyoming Territory granted women the vote in 1869 and entered the Union in 1890 with that franchise intact.

Militia. Territorial Governor John A. Campbell’s General Order No. 1, 1870, divided the territory into three military districts. Assembly law effective December 31, 1871, sanctioned volunteer companies of not less than 40 men. The Laramie Grays were organized in 1888; calling that 1888 company federally recognized is anachronistic.
